Thank God there wasn't a wooden bridge down there ... no doubt he would have tried it!

If I stopped when pavement did I would not make many of my deliveries or a few pickups. Del to a cabin on a road similar not to long ago but phone and communication before making the turnLowa3468 Thanks this.

Where was he trying to go?

I delivered to a guys house in Concho, AZ on a one lane gravel road. He told me you'll think you can't make it but you can.
Even told me if I wanted I could get there the night before and park on the road. He has only one neighbor and the road loops around back to the main highway, I wouldn't be blocking anyone. -
Did a delivery with my tractor in a similar place once, guy had ordered some part overnight weighed about 200 pounds from Chicago, he said it cost him 1200 bucks to get it shipped. I know it's the drivers fault but a part of me seize blame the company, for not realizing he shouldn't be driving or needs more training.

I use the expression to "cut through the woods" to mean to take the backroads. This guys certainly has given it new meaning.

Finally someone that gets it!! Jarhead, you mentioned the bad words of trucking, Common Sense!! (Verifying your gps routes with Google Earth not a bad idea either.) -
