Caron Transportation Systems was a great company to work for. Excellent pay and benefits, mostly newer, well-maintained equipment, good trips. Would still be there, but the chemicals started having an adverse effect on my health.

Yep. And sounds like it was written by a recruiter. :)

I've heard that about Caron... not the health risk part, though.

Safety departments only work one way, anyway. Profit protection department is what I call it.

I know about them out west. Company driver pay was about 25 an hour, ot after 60 hours. From what they told me you usually do about 40-50 and getting into overtime was rare. Spoke to a driver and he said they keep you out for awhile and it was hard getting home for a reset or time off.

We teamed for "the red army". Mississauga - Calgary and back. They pay teams VERY well. You get used to the 90 km/h.

Garry Mercer Trucking out of mississauga. Probably won't find a nicer guy to work for.....left to find greener pastures in big Teamster company. Big mistake, although not entirely mine.
