My question,
my friend is a truck driver, prior to becoming a driver he was arrested for possession of a firearm and marijuana. He is currently fighting the case and has no conviction yet. His attorney is attempting to get the charges dropped to a misdemeanor.
if convicted of a felony on these charges, how would this affect his current position as a truck driver? Where can I find some specific information or law with regards to this matter. I have searched the dmv class A rules and regulations but it only pertains to an incident while operating a truck or personal vehicle, and that is not part of the case.
I'd appreciate any help, or pointing me in the right direction.
thanks yall!

Thanks so much for your response. After my research, that's the same conclusion I'd came up with. I sure hope it works out for him.
i certainly appreciate your time!Chinatown Thanks this. -
Yep, depends on the trucking company. Several companies will hire him with a recent felony conviction, but the choices are few.
