Fuel tank leak ?

napa has a 2 part epoxy, with soap stick, sand paper and cloth....costs about $12

mine dont leak no more....LOL

 

Use Some JB Weld found at any auto part store.

 

they have a puddy at TA that you mold with your hand for like 15 minutes then put it over the whole and stretch it out then it will harden and be mint. Or that two part epoxy from napa is just as efective

 

I had an old Escort that had a leak on the tank sender plate where the high pressure line came out—the line was rusted and almost broken off. You couldn't buy just the tank adapter, it came with the fuel pump, sender and filter—$278 for the assembly! I was not about to spend $278 on a $300 car.

JB Weld to the rescue... I used the putty to support the tube where it came out of the plate and then coated it with the two-part liquid because the putty was still a little too porous to hold back the high pressure fuel (it was seeping just a tiny bit).

Two years later, this repair was still holding and not leaking in the slightest when I sold the car. I'm a believer now... the stuff works.

 

Also worth mention woud be to use wrenches on the crossover/pickup/return line or whatever.
