I am a happy badger tonight. Got my truck back at 1800. It was indeed the fan clutch which they replaced. Props to these guys at Kenworth. They take TransAm's deal with MHC seriously here. Any of our trucks that come in have to be started on within 2 hours. A couple other guys in the longe were asking why I was in and out so quickly and the guy said it was an easy fix and TransAm has a deal with MHC because they are a big customer. Love it. The wrecker driver was a good friendly guy. My swap was called off so I'm taking a proper 10 hour break then gonna keep on trucking toward Cedar Falls!

 

I have been getting some info on Carter Express and they seem to be pretty good and pay for school at Sage in Indianapolis or Muncie.

Home every week and some times through the week also.
I don't think trucks have APU though

Wow what did I start, and I think the main reason for posting it on here ini a place that I do respect the opinions as all the others I have seen say to go ahead with the companies that do train. I do understand that most companies that do train are wanting a year of commitment and I am only thinking of them as a back up to get started. I would prefer to go someplace private to get trained as most of the the companies that do give full training you don't get paid until you have your cdl which I think is bs but they are giving the training so I guess it works out. Just wanna try to get on the road in the new year so I can be with a trainer during the winter months so I can get used to handling a truck in snow. As far as stopping and talking to drivers goes it is kinda hard as most that I see looks like they are sleeping.

 

actually there isn't a TEAM in New England, it's Brady and a bunch of guys who wouldn't know to pull their heads out of their rears if he went down with a season ending injury again.

 

A couple of recalls to tell you about this evening -

There has been another recall of peanut butter. Right now it is limited to select brands but.....they have all started that way and expanded.
The other recall is a first for me to see ....just in case any of you are thinking of getting a tattoo .....there has been a recall on the ink used.
