Still fly the heck out of MK-76's on a daily basis now. Yeah, there are no longer 6521's, way before my time ;) They combine the 31's and 41's now at E-7 making it a 6591.

One time in Hong Kong, the ship I was on pulled in for some R&R. I was Navy. Had a few Marines on there with the Fleet Marine Force. Next morning at quarters one of the Navy LT. pilots had a black eye. Found out he and an enlisted Marine had a fist fight over a "chicken girl", ie. "hooker." No big deal though; those were the good old days when enlisted & officer partied hard together in foreign ports, then back on the ship is was back to business. The saying, "What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas", that's the way it was concerning foreign ports in the military.

Since you benefit from the G.I. bill to fund your education, I strongly suggest you find the most comprehensive training program, especially one that offers a driver finishing program, and get all endorsements and documents/credentials available. The more training and endorsements/credentials you have, the more desirable you will be as an employee not to mention the benefit of more intensive training before hand.

Rules are made to be broken, aren't they? What else are they good for? I thought all drivers know that.

I have had been in and seen some of those similar situations Chinatown. Lots of fun deploying over the years. I actually enjoyed going out on ship. Lot of fun and lots to see. Alaska76, thank you, I was reading about a few programs such as Schnieder and you can get your GI bill for a year while being a trainee, plus what the company is paying you. It doesn't sound like a bad gig at all. I think their terminal in NC is in Charlotte and my wife is not too keen on living close to there but we will see. I know I have a lot of time before I can start all of this but I am excited about it. And thank you Rckbottom!

Olongapo City; wow, does that bring back some pleasant memories. Over 40,000 vets living in Philippines now. Several military organizations and even a Social Security Office in Manila.
