Okay well I've received an offer from Mister "P" Express Inc. I've done a lot of research into this company and they have a decent reputation. They are a local company that does OTR. 120 trucks. They train you. They pay .31 cpm for all miles and guarantee hometime every weekend. Their phone message even says that their dispatch is closed from 6am Friday to 11pm Sunday...LOL. But they do have loads going out over the weekend though. The people seem nice. I even met the CEO during my interview. The only thing I don't like is that they slip seat. I start class with them on May 5. And so far everything they have told me seems to be upront and honest.

Sorry I haven't been over here in a while, Wannabe. Besides the new job (driving a dump truck for a local paving company - home every night) I had some computer problems to boot. Computer was fixed over a week ago, but had lost this thread for a while.

Glad you found a mom and pop company. Keep us up to date as to how it's going for ya.

I start Monday training. I've read the CDL manual over and over again and been studying like a kid in School.

    Well, DuAH!
You ARE a kid in School. :biggrin_25525: :biggrin_25523:

    Good luck, amigo! :biggrin_255:

And while you're there, get some Tuesday and Wednesday training too.
Thursday and Friday training wouldn't hurt either.
But, if I were you, I'd hold off on Saturday training -- Sunday, as well ----------
at least 'till you get more experience under your hat. :biggrin_25524: :biggrin_2556:

    LOL!!! I'll try.
I'm very hopeful though. the company "seems" to be decent. And if I choose I can be home every weekend. But I don't want that. So I guess I'll be able to change my status from wannabe to Student finally come monday.
