I mentioned them with the possibility in mind that you might be considering daycab work. As for these companies, yeah, they're not going to be perfect, but they're often what you make of them, as well. If you're competent behind the wheel, can get to where you need to be on time, and can be counted on... well, it seems like those people are much less prone to the horror stories than the ones for whom it's questionable. For example, I started with Swift's flatbed division in 02 until Uncle Sam told me, "enough of this part-time ####, go have some fun in the sun" in 03. And, overall, it was a pretty decent experience for me. Am I saying that's the place to go? Not at all, but they're there, and a good driver with a workable dispatcher can make it work, and I'm keeping all options open here, since you seem a little ambiguous as to what exactly you're trying to get into.

I live in Colorado Springs and my health insurance at Sinton Dairy is 148.00 a month for the whole family. I drive a tractor Trailer for them but I also unload when I deliver so there is physical work to it. I work 10-12 hour days 4 days a week also start time is around 1am. We are union and after five years I will be fully vested in the pension. Drive to Denver, Pueblo, La Junta, Lamar, Walsenburg , Vail, Loveland, Greeley, Cheyenne,WY, and other places that I cant think of. If your looking for just a drive job this wont be for you. I know First Fleet has a Terminal in Fountain

Thanks bro. I'll look into it on hometime. If I get hired maybe you can collect a referral bonus. I'm not afraid of work. If I was I wouldn't pull flatbed.Milkman719 Thanks this.

I'm starting work for Groendyke at the Henderson Colorado terminal on the 29th. So I can update this forum later, but I did some research and I believe them to be a very good place if you are willing to work... Dave is the TM I met him and he was a driver so he knows what it is like. I spoke to a driver last week before I decided to go with them and he had a LOT of good things to say about the company and Dave as well. I interviewed with some other companies and all they could offer is "plenty of OT" 50 - 70k IS realistic with Groendyke was one of the things the driver told me. More later if you want to hear it...?
