When they gave me my current assignment I called in and told my dbl that I may not have the hours to deliver the load on time. The delivery appt is by 23:59 tomorrow. He tried to get it relayed but no luck and it can't be delivered on Sat morning. According to CS it has to get there within the appt window. I'm going to call and confirm with him tomorrow before I get going but I will have about 15 min left on my 70 when I d/h this load at the customer. Hopefully I can park there or we will have a problem. Nice work planners giving me a load that squeezes my hours this tight. Can they see the hours you are picking up on your recap? If so I'm wondering if they even looked at mine before giving me this load. Also, I run a home run pod and this upcoming week is my week to get home (Tues or Wed). Hopefully I keep recapping (picking up) enough hours to get home since this load takes me to near Buffalo, NY.

<Insert multiple and varied curse words here. A lot of them.>
20 miles into my day, and the Brat throws 3 DEF codes. NOX Conv EFF (2x) and DEF quality. Waiting on SEM to tell me what they want me to do. Why couldn't she do this BEFORE I started driving, so I could edit my start time? Sigh... -
Same thing happened to me on Wednesday. SEM told me to take it to Freightliner in Lexington, KY, but they couldn't get me in until next Wednesday. Then, SEM told me to just take it to Carlisle when I can (my load dropped north of there). It's now Friday and I still haven't been able to get to the shop. The best part is that I had this same issue fixed a couple of months ago in Charlotte. I've seriously had to put my truck in the shop at least once a week since then for various reasons. The guy at SEM seriously told me that it's because this year of truck (2012 Cascadia) had a lot of bugs that haven't been worked out yet...

I had this happen once before, kinda funny isn't it?

Yes, the Load Planners can see how much hours you will get back. I too am waiting to live unload after receiving an assignment that I knew I couldn't make OTD. Had to get a new appointment the next day (today). This happens to me often, I think I'm going to show one hour less on the 11 hour rule than I actually have to prevent this.

sounds to me like they're covered up in freight and "shootin' 'n hopein'"......plus, sometimes it's only necessary to get the trailer off the shipper's yard. They'll worry about getting it delivered on time some other time.

I'm at my delivery in Canadaigua, NY for the night. I pick up my next load in E. Rochester, NY tomorrow headed for Hammond, IN (near Gary) to get me back toward the house. Jill's routing has me taking part of U.S. 20 in Ohio. If I remember correctly (haven't been on it in a while) part of it is closed due to construction. Can anyone on here confirm that? Which way should I take from E. Rochester to Hammond (after I90 which will take me out of NY and back to Ohio)? Thanks in advance guys.

I-90 thru Cleveland, to SR 2 along the lakefront to Toledo, follow Jill around I-280, I-75S, I-475 W to US 20, US 20 all the way to I-94... Just went that way yesterday and today. Missed all the traffic too, went through Cleveland at 3am, Toledo at 5:30. This should be the exact route Jill tells you to take.gentleroger and EggoTrucker Thank this.
