going to try us xpress

im taking the truck back to western express tomorrow. cant get any miles and doing a lot of setting here lately with no layover pay. cant live on that kind of foolishness. dont know much about us xpress except they pay almost .10 more on the mile. so what kind of company is this does anyone know?

 

yea i am not a team driver. never could bring myself to trust someone else driving while trying to sleep. when i went out with a trainer, i averaged 3 to 4 hours sleep a night if even that. i know that he was an experienced driver but even an experienced driver can wreck and kill you in your sleep. not a notion that i could get a good nights sleep over. thanks for the info and will be watching out for them to try to shaft me. when they try it , i will do the same as i did with western and warn them first . if it continues , i will just take the truck back to them clean and in good condition. lets hope they dont do me the same as western did and keep me in nashville tn for 2 days with the promise of a bus ticket home. but either way i wont abandon the truck as i dont need that on my previous employment record.

 

yea so far i have schnieder, swift , and us xpress calling me to come to work. schnieder wants me to share a truck with another driver which is something that im not interested in . swift doesnt pay enough according to my research. so i guess that us xpress is the choice for now. all i need is another few months and i can go almost anywhere i want to go. i believe it will be better than western express either way. they may actually pay me layover pay and bobtail miles, but i guess i will see. but like china said, i have enough experience to make good money now. truck drivers are a badly needed commodity these days according to the job ads .
