Parked Here for the Night

Got the flu over the winter, the one that took like a week and a half to get over...didn't eat for 8 days...just lived on Gatorade. Worst experience on a truck ever and hope one I never have to repeat.

 

New clutch, new tires and a loss of week of work...this was an expensive week...Will get back at it here on Sunday...I probably can't afford to take another day off till Christmas...2016

 

Been at the house for a day or two looks like I'll be rolling tomorrow night for Mondays kill..

 

I guess me and my ol girl still got it. Left Thursday at 9pm for Amarillo unloaded came back to OKC and loaded for home. Got in at 3 this morning. Slept till 10, my son unhooked the pott and hooked the hopper back up hauling soybeans out of the field to ADM at Memphis now. Lines are short so I may be to busy to post much.

Leaving tomorrow afternoon for Lexington. Hopefully load west.

 

Now at a the first TA on I-44 MO... Will leave at 1 am central time... Hope the road will be almost empty... My elog shows that I drove 10:59 hrs today... That's what I was pushing for... Will try the same tomorrow and park at another TA in NM and do my reset... But will also stop at co. terminal in OKC to leave bad tire there and some trip envelopes, and will stop at WM for groceries...

 

Ohhh man... I am so sorry for you... I never got very sick on the road... the worst I had was tooth infection... and that was baaaaad... Had it for 2 months while on the road and kept taking antibiotics... On several occasions had to leave truck at truck stop and take cab to places... one was an emergency clinic for an antibiotic prescription... didn't have insurance and that cost me about $ 300.00 that I paid cash right there... The other places were dentist offices for X-rays and evaluations but no treatment... and another occasion, my wonderful load planner got me a load from NJ to IA so that I could see that GREAT trucker's dentist on IA-80 for a root canal... He did it all in a couple hrs during my 10 hr break... Man, I hope you make it home without needing to see a doctor on the road...

 

I am some little pilot with 25 spaces . Lol
I cant wait to see how many trucks try and squeeze in here later.....

The way it looks I will be here till monday a.m. too , and not by choice.

 

Moved back in my truck. Kinda missed the ol girl. Gonna take a short haul to Dallas tomorrow then pick up a preload and head to Rodgers, MN. Haven't been to Minnesota in over 2 years figured it's not winter so it's safe.

 

I'm in Biggs OR. Till Sunday evening. Permits didn't come in fri.
