    467 miles.

Glad I stopped last night when I did. The roads to get to my pickup were very narrow it would not have been fun in the nighttime Picked up my load of used tires and took them to the drop yard. I had to cross the GW bridge and go down US 1 in NJ, not any fun at all.

Waited on my next PP. They send me the wrong one. Call up weekend dispatch and after about 10 minutes he finally finds the one I was promised. Picks up about 10 miles away and delivers in MS. I will drop it in Murray, KY.

Made it to the last service area on I76 in PA. Going to be a long day tomorrow to make it to Murray.

631 miles for my final day of driving for PTL.

Made it to Murray and went through the inspection lane. He found a few things. I asked if they would do them before I turn the truck in. He said probably not. So I park and go over to wait for a car to get some dinner and before I leave I see them taking my truck to the shop.

Get back from dinner and check on the truck. They replaced the front seal on the differential, cleared the check engine light, replace the APU bottom cover that fell off yesterday, replace the lost radiator cap, replaced 4 drive tires and the 2 steer tires. Someone is going to get a good truck.

I have to go to the South lot in the morning to turn in the truck then catch the grey dog home.

My Numbers for being here 29 weeks

    Total miles paid 62943
    Total miles driven 66762
About 6% not paid but driven. I hate HHG miles

    Weekly AVG 2170

Well at least I made it for the final payment of $500 for the sign-on bonus. You have to do 60K

I'm just getting started at PTL it seems like a good company. I've been here a month so far. Turned down one northeast run. They had me drop it no problem

On the bus on the way home. Turning in the truck was fine. They will ship up to 100lbs of stuff back to your house as well as provide a bus ticket home.

I enjoyed my stay at PTL and will come back in the future if I don't have any other work.

You all be safe out there.

    Rich.

Hey man do you live in birmingham, notice you going to and from when you are blue.. I live off 280, drive for ptl since April 17th 2014 I am finding it easier and easier everyday at first it was hard because I am verry impatient and expected more loads like I was on when I was running teams in p2 came to realize I needed to work on my patience and talked to nick in driver support and he is claiming to get me more miles I'm doing my part still waiting to get out of the 6 day punishment from a 34 @ the house.. I still have faith.. I like reading your post because when I first started solo I was running those same bear loads and all the bull with those grocery loads too Winn Dixie and krogers are worst..

This thread is great. I've read it from the beginning. Pretty much got all my questions answered but I was wondering what the home-time policy is with PTL? I've seen them advertise in those little truck stop books that you could be home weekly if you live/near certain cities. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I've been at PTL for two months now and really love working here. Compared to other companies I've worked for ( four other companies total). I've been driving going on three years. They recommend going home at end of month for four days but I hear some drivers may go every two weeks. Its a day home for every week out. Call recruiter and check it out. They have been straight with me since the first call from recruiter. I'm getting miles and making good money and when I wanted home they got me home. Anyways good luck wherever you go bro!

The Home policy is 1 day off for every 6 out. I did 18 out 3 off and also did 36 out and 6 off.
