I'm hitting 10 mpg at 60,000 lbs... that means I'm making money off of the fuel surcharge.

Lol I driver tanker. I average 42K-45K lbs every load. Drive a 2014 peterbilt with the pacar motor and a 10 spd transmission. I am governed at 70mph and use the speed all the time. I average 7.8 mpg. So they need to look at how they spec their trucks.

Are you subject to dispatch to Canada? Limit to 65. BTW... the company guys have to get 7.5 week over week, and have been required to do that for a couple of years now. Don has retired, but the policy always was set by our owner.

Cool, If it's profitable for you, go for it. Personally, our bonus takes more into account than mpg, and I've hit it every quarter, so to each his own. Personally I pass Prime trucks all day long, and you guys are always paying attention and let me by....

    Good Luck driver!!!

    Serious question

how do Prime trucks climb mountains? its difficult enough to do with a running start of 62MPH, I can't imagine how much harder it is starting off 10mph slower
