Pros: Long runs, Hollands are nice people. Decent equipment.

Cons: On Guard. Denzel can be a bit of a prick, but he ain't nothing compared to the A Hole who runs the shop. OTOH, Denzel has an open tab at the restaurant next door and will buy ya lunch when you stop by the terminal.

I will give you my take on Holland. I have been there 5 years. I tell people this if you need someone holding your hand and telling you what move to make next then Holland is NOT the place for you. They close there doors at 6 pm and they pretty much leave you alone. I have never has a problem with much there. When I broke down in the Twins they were right on it to get me towed off the interstate. They run nice equipment. Miles are good most of the time. As for me I have not had the 1st problem with the A hole in the shop. I call him Richard. When I tell them a problem with the truck they fix it. I don't tell him how to do his job and I stay out of his way. So therefore there is no problem . People say alot about this guy I have no clue if it's true I just no its not true in my case and I also know that Richard knows his job well. I also have no problem with Denzil. I know someone is gonna say I must kiss ### but it's not true. What is true is I do what they ask and they leave me alone. This is only my take on the company

I get along good with him as well. And this entire month has been rough on both of us, because my truck has been break down do to the #### emissions. This last weekend, it went into the Knoxville freightliner dealer for a total replacement of the after treatment system. Richard rented a truck from Penske, for me to finish my load to Allentown, then reload back to knxville

Ditto what Luke said. I've never had any issues with either of them. I love that my Qualcomm is silent, unless I need it. I love that I'm trusted as a driver to do my job without a babysitter. Equipment is good and I've never had an issue getting anything fixed. Miles are usually pretty good, there have been a couple of slow weeks, but not many. It's not unusual to have a 2500 mile run or better. Very few runs under 1k and those are usually getting you to a longer one. Very nice pet policy and day 1 rider policy. All apu fleet.

Downsides for me.. cpm is low imo. Getting detention pay is a crap shoot and we have some slow regular customers. Insurance for a family is expensive.

That being said, the low cpm is the only reason I would even consider going somewhere else and it would take a huge cpm bump for me to consider another company. That and a lot of talking to drivers to have the same environment.

On guard is a crash warning system. Basically it has a radar mounted on the bumper to let you know if you are getting too close to something, and will apply engine brakes on its own. The problem with it is, if someone is exiting in front of you, it still sees it and brakes, even when they are on the off ramp. Also it gets ice, dirt, bugs, etc. on the sensor, it gets an error message and turns off. The problem with this is, when it's off, so is your cruise control. Sometimes it gets an error message for no reason, and you have to stop and turn off the truck to reset it. It beeps a lot if you're following too close to someone, which imo is a good thing. Don't tailgate. .
