My old trainer when he was on boats got one of those first 579's with the small single bunks on them. They had some issues, but I figured they had gotten them taken care of. I know for a while the hood hinges were pretty much falling off as well.

Well I knew my first load was gonna come from ssab, its plate steel at 40 ft long, plastic over it, with 2 steel tarps. Only had 2 chains on it, so I the on the other 8 that I had 8 total securement, and 2 x chains. All in all, out was ok, my fm have me choices on loss they were all plate, but given the day, I took the shortest one so I could get there tonight sleep and only have 20 miles too get to the consignee in the am with most of my clock to roll on.

While at ssab, there was an "experienced"test out that went there to get his first load, while there he tore the airlines off the truck saying that had he not walked over to help me it wouldn't have happened. I called ######## right away at him. Then the #### #### guy didn't check his 5th wheel was locked as hee tried to pull out, he dropped the trailer down on the frame and his king pin dug into the rear support beam on the frame.

Somehow, I don't expect this cat to stick around to long.

I think they started that right around 2 years ago. Kind of puts a little more pride into it I think.
