Wow.. has it been 4 days?

Not much going on. .I tore the cartilage in my left shoulder and severely sprained my neck and shoulder muscles. . Glad it's a short week.

I'm loading in Chicago and heading to KC for a Wednesday afternoon delivery. .I scheduled home time beginning Thursday.

I ended the pay period with 3,000 miles. .7.0 mpg.. Settlement will be 1,700 +/- 50$..

    Have a good weekend. .

Wow, this thread is awful quiet when your not around Jag. I remember a couple of years ago there were several ACT threads and they were always going.

Im in the midst of doing phys therapy for my bad shoulder, it sucks!

I still read them as I'm sure many others do also but just nothing really interesting to post. I did my thread for about a year or so and kind of gave up, got bored with it. After two years of the same over and over it gets a bit boring.

Guess I could post in my thread about miles and pay but it's pretty much same as others... not too much happens that's new and exciting. ;)

So Jag the lease mileage pay is 1.44 loaded and 1.34 empty, do those numbers fluctuate with the cost of fuel? Also what is the average discount on fuel, company claims anywhere from .05 - .50 a gallon, whats the norm?

Following the "suggested" fuel stops/routing I see an average of 20 cents discount off the pump price. . And no your mileage pay doesn't fluctuate. .

$1.03 + fuel surcharge (with hazmat endorsement) on all loaded miles... .90 + fuel surcharge on empty miles... The only fluctuation is FSC (based off of our primary lanes of travel) this week .42

But what you have to realize is this is a business. . Your Business. .ACT business. . And it comes down to smart business choices. .COMMUNICATION is the key!

Look.. This really comes down to economics. .ACT provides us a tool to make money or lose money. . ACT is going to make money on ALMOST every load. .They have computers crunching numbers and finding loads that make money faster than we as drivers have the capability.

If they lose 10 cents moving us out of an unprofitable area and into a profitable one. . They are ultimately going to make money, and us drivers will too.

Unfortunately, as drivers come into the company we are left to a "learning" curve. Meaning, which loads are good for "drivers" and which loads are good for ACT.

Nobody will tell you what's a good load. . Or a heavy load. .a good freight area or a dead area. .LEARNING CURVE! But what I do is lend my knowledge to my ONE and ONLY recruit..GED (lose your paranoia. .ACT isn't out to get you. Lmao) and help with what's a good load or a bad load. .

Talk to other ACT drivers. . They are a great source of information
