Been doing a lot of research on tmc and seems to be one the best companies to work for. I understand that they have the percentage pay. I'm curious as to what you current drivers gross average to the truck a week. Just trying to get a general idea and estimate of what the pay is like. Thanks in advance

It all depends how long you're out, where you run, and how you run. If you do the bare minimum, you will make 5-700 a week, maybe. If you work your hours, don't stop at every truck stop, and park at the shipper/consignee when you can, you can make well over a grand...after everything. It helps if you get good mileage. Have your twic, hazmat, pass card...all the little things.

Thanks for the reply. Everything I've found out on tmc seems pay is very descent. I was just looking for a realistic #! Are those numbers take home ?

My smallest check on a full week was just under $600. My largest check was about $1800. That high figure was specialized. On Line haul to make 1200+ you'll need to spend a couple weeks out and run really well. You can make around $800 take home just sleeping in everyday.

Oh man, it's been a while since I was doing that. My "worst week" from above was a home weekly thing. But I'd say my checks were always right around $800-1000. But I love to run the Midwest. Detroit, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois...money. I also run the hell out of my weeks. That is take home too.

    freightwipper Thanks this.

I'm home all most every weekend and I take home after taxes 900-1500 bucks. But I run hard and don't stop at truckstops. Sometimes it means only showering every other day but it's worth the money if your willing to drive every minute out of you clock every day!

I'm glad someone else put theirs up. I haven't been on line haul for a couple years, so that helps a lot.

Well, I'm on a leave now, but I was and will be back on John Deere/specialized in the next month or two. Line haul is more the building lumber/shingles/steel area of operations. The difference is your experience, and the stuff you haul. Obviously machinery most of the time will pay better plus oversize and all of that. Just better compensation. They also have a boats division as well, but for these two you need at least two years experience and all that good stuff. I think I run a lot harder on specialized, but that's cause you're solar powered most of the time. Line haul is very good for learning the ropes, and if you're mid west it's very good for money. But that's my opinion.
