Trainers,
The question is really about allowing the rigid folding cart into the cab. I have one from Lowe's/Home D. It is 27" tall, wheels to handle (collapsed), it is 13" across at the base, and lays flat at about 3".
Weighs about 5-7 lbs.
I was thinking it could sit behind passenger seat, under the water bottles that are under the bunk, possibly strapping to one of the walls in the bunk area.
How many of you trainers would have any objection to a trainee showing up with their stuff strapped to a rolling folding cart? The stuff on the cart (bungeed/straaped) would be the duffle, sleeping bag/pillow, shower bag? It makes dragging stuff to/from the bus, to the work site, to the cab, and then reverse the process.

You will probably find it tucked into the upper bunk. Yet if you cant get luggage that has wheels on it, the company may negate you before you even get near a truck.

I got one from Walmart, when you fold the base up the wheels fold also.
Heavy-Duty Folding Luggage Cart. About $28.00.. folds up to about 2". It was actually in the area where they keep office supplies by the shipping boxes.

Cali Hawk Thanks this. -
You'll be making the big bucks soon enough, and if you have to toss it measure it's value by the labor/injury it saved you per $ until then. -
How many two-liter bottles of Mountain Dew can it carry?
charlie's angel Thanks this. -
What's with all the trainers saying you have to keep everything you bring on the top bunk?

And many either own or are leasing the truck too. Their payments, their rules.

The cart is about the size of a milk crate with wheels. I had one for business work and loved it.
When you leave home with all this, you could perhaps get a large vacuum bag they have for storage and suck all the air out of it with the sleeping bag and pillow so that it doesn't take up as much space. I have used large trash bags before and then fold the opening down and tape real well, but if it gets a small tear in it it will fill back up with air. You won't be able to use the vacuum bag, as a vacuum bag, unless you find someone with a vacuum running around, but it still can be used as is.
There is indeed not a lot of room on trainers trucks, even for large suitcases unless they fold down pretty flat.
Maybe you could put it under the mattress on the bottom bunk, wrap it in something where it won't scar the platform and if using outside, I would put it in a large plastic bag (germs you know get on it); the top bunk according to if it would come flying out if the truck stopped suddenly.
