Im looking at a 400 watt inverter...that has 800 watt peak surge....on paper a 700 watt microwave....at medium level should draw 350 watts...the cobra inverter $30 at pilot...microwave $60 at walmart...
-
I dont know about you, but ME, I would be tired after a long day, pop my dinner in the micro, punch in the time, and forget to set it to medium power......
-
me too ... i would need to have a paper taped to the glass door...saying MEDIUM !!! ....are you the driver at CRST??...hows things going there...ok I hope
-
Bad idea ... optimally your power source should be twice of what you will draw ...
-
Start this coming monday......ask me on tuesday
-
plus isnt a microwave kinda like a compressor that it draws a higher initial charge to get it going? plus I see 1500 inverters on sale for around $100 sometimes
-
comp
ny limit is plug in 400 watt...I may still try it...the 400 watt has an 800 watt peak surg limit -
well...cant run a microwave oven on 400 watt inverter....even if oven is on lowest setting....oven cycles from low watts to high watts....even if the setting is at low.....at least now I know for sure
mr.steampunk Thanks this. -
yeah I have always been told to have an inverter with at least double the watts so running a 600 watt microwave I would prefer to have a 1500 inverter
