Gonna hit on a pet peeve here. I absolutely hate it, and will talk to a manager, when there are drivers waiting on a shower and no one is back there cleaning them. THAT......is total BS and extremely disrespectful to us drivers. If your people are busy, its YOUR job as a manager, to get back there and start on them yourself. Needless to say, there are people cleaning now.
No Pete, not whining, just totally PO'd!!!!
HTQ, you already know what I'm doing.

Background check ??? Driving record check ???
Hello everybody , I have asked about this in the Newbie Forum but I don't think here in this one.
If a person puts an application in at a company and they do their background and MVR check what company do they use.
Someone told me There are a lot of free ones but we were messing around at work last night and a co-worker was trying to do a check on himself as he has thought about driving a truck again. He drove several years ago for maybe 5 years and started teaching school. He said he lost his license (DUI) after he had quit driving a truck but don't think it is on his record.
I told him to check the BMV and get a copy of his driving record but we got busy at work right after that.
We both work again tonight and we are going to check in to it.
To work for my company you need to have a secret security clearance and I told him if he had a DUI it would have showed up and my company would not have hired him. He has only been there about a year.
He kept checking different places and then they would want money to finish the report. Seemed like a scam to us , so if anyone knows a place that does background and MVR checks please let us know. Even if he has to pay a little no problem.
Since we have a security clearance we were thinking about getting a government driving job and might chec,k into that tonight if not busy. Any body know of any good government jobs

As far as I know the TransAm truck was the only vehicle involved at Limon. They said he rolled it but didn't have any info on the driver.....hoping he was ok.
I told the King that I bet it was you! He had a rough couple of days and was ready for some sleep when I talked with him. Once the man takes his boots off that's it for the day.....boots off, eyes closed!
I wish he had seen you earlier, it would have been great for him to get to meet you!

Many of the companies use this one, dennisroc - http://www.hireright.com/Consumers-Applicants.aspx
Some of the smaller carriers use this one - https://www.tenstreet.com/ -
Pete, did you go on I 29? Someone sent in some pictures saying it is backed up for miles around KC.....but they didn't know what the problem was.

The only further info on the Limon wreck is that it was an owner op in a 660 and the wrecker driver said he was alive. He was coherent enough to log out of his treq anyways. Turns out one of my friends is the guy who ended up with all the product from the rolled trailer. 44k lb juice load that is going back to Olathe to be detroyed since it was a temp controlled load. Wreck happened before 4am. From the looks of it and the time, perhaps he started to nod off, hit the rumblestrip, overcorrected, and the weight of that load laid him down. He was literally just off the shoulder, parallel to the interstate. Either way, I'm glad to hear he is alive at least. It always sucks to see a wreck or something, it just hits a little closer to see your company name plastered on the side. It can happen to anyone.
I had the shower battle in Amarillo last night. It was ridiculous.
Tomorrow I will go to Kenworth and pick up an empty and then getting pallets or boxes in Aurora going to Cargill in Dodge. They have me preplanned on a multistop load and the first stop isnt until Tuesday morning in Alcoa, TN. Not sure how I feel about that. Tuesday morning seems like a crappy point to only be sitting on 1300 miles. I'll work on it more tomorrow.HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Finally got my load Aurora, Il to Duncan, Ok. If I remember correctly the P/U place will load me as soon as I get there and it is a drop-n-hook on delivery.
Well after 2 nights of no reception on my TV(thought something was wrong) got reception now. 26 inches is like a movie screen in the truck. Will get a dvd player this weekend so I can enjoy my movies. Hate watching the news, if I want someone to lie to me I will call dispatch. LOL
Be safe out theregntorres61, HometimeQueen, dennisroc and 1 other person Thank this. -

i got one of those tv antennaes that mount on your window. it was about 25 bucks at the pilot. comes in pretty good unless someone drives by you since it's not high enough to get around that but it works pretty well. i just leave it on the passenger window since i dont use that door anyway. keeps me from breaking the rabbit ears off loljaso36 Thanks this.
