Op please dont get behind the wheel of a truck, just the fact that you think it would ever be acceptable to stop while merging onto the highway is scary. It's not rocket science, get up to speed and find a hole and as another poster said dont be afraid to run the shoulder for a bit if needed.

    Chewey Thanks this.

Which is the whole point of this topic ,what do you do when you can't find a hole ?Do you just merge and expect the 4 wheelers to slow down and let you in?By Law you do not have to yield the right of way to merging traffic. Merging traffic are supposed to yield right of way to you

    Skydivedavec and tangerineGT Thank this.

Knuckles white, teeth clenched, butt puckered.
Or just drift out after using the entire merge lane while putting on mascara and chatting on the blue tooth.

They don't let you do anything, you watch, you catch a hole and you make it happen. Do you honestly have that hard of a time merging? Just asking.
