Op please dont get behind the wheel of a truck, just the fact that you think it would ever be acceptable to stop while merging onto the highway is scary. It's not rocket science, get up to speed and find a hole and as another poster said dont be afraid to run the shoulder for a bit if needed.

Which is the whole point of this topic ,what do you do when you can't find a hole ?Do you just merge and expect the 4 wheelers to slow down and let you in?By Law you do not have to yield the right of way to merging traffic.
