yep if im running low on hours I spend the night at the store and take advantage of the wifi grabbing my files I might need off my seedbox ^^

I dont think the candy loads screwed us up too much, normally Thursdays are busy for us too but this one was a little slower so it worked out.

    Yes.
I don't split up my 10 by hauling trailers in the middle of it.
So it is either they wait for my 10 to be over before I swap the trailers or I wait to start my 10.

    scottied67 Thanks this.

Got a ppln hauling 45K lbs from Pasadena TX to Ogden UT, 1500 miles after home time. Like the miles but not too thrilled hauling that weight uphill for 25hrs. I already know I'm not gonna follow their routing. Long time ago I went up that way from here and they wanted me to take back roads from Amarillo to Raton Pass at the UT/CO border..then I-70 over the Rockies, then US191 and US6 to I-15N south of SLC. I was light so I did it and swore never again, whether running North or South from Houston/Dallas area to the NW.

For the last couple years heading to or from that way I take 287 from Dallas pretty much to Limon CO, I-70 to I-25 up to Cheyenne and I-80 THEN over to I-15 and SLC. And no, I don't take 287 from Ft.Collins to I-80 unless I have an MTY trailer.

BTW I don't do CA or the rest of the west coast anymore..not worth the hassle if you're OTR. Once they get you they expect you to be a short haul regional delivery boy up and down the coast for two weeks. I put up with that for 2 years and got fed up after getting shafted too many times. I get solid miles running 910, however I always get into a tussle with the SLC planners when getting done with a load up there cuz they always want to send me down into CA and almost always it's LA. Not happening. I'll take a load out west but then it's turn right around and head back east. My DM backs me up in disputes and I've told them that I don't mind taking loads out west, just not to CA, OR or WA.

After a few years with Swift with a flawless record I don't mind being a little more picky about where I go out west and don't mind telling them no.

houstank...r u o/o? i like that us191 route. a little slow thru moab. i'm like you, except oppsite coast. i like the west and hate the east. winter months, i hate whereever the snow and ice is at lol. i dont mind the midwest or south. theres a few highways i wont go on due to heights( us6 over loveland pass and co247)

Loveland, CO at Johnson's Corner. I drop at the Walmart DC up the road in the morning then pick up a can load in Golden headed for Miller in Ft. Worth. I really didn't want to EVER go back to that brewery but the other choice was sitting or a K-Mart with 2 stops in El Paso.

Steve, I probably would have opted for that El Paso load. You know that you might be getting out of that brewery. BTW, our DM dropped the ball with me big time on Thursday. Had a nice lite load out of OH going to Hurricane and she was going to try and get it t-called. She never got back to me. When I got in the truck on Friday, found out that she had a t-call set up for PHX. Never told me. Also for some reason when get a pplan from her, never get it on my phone.

Let's see, a 2-stop K-Mart load into an El Paso barrio or an 8,000 lb drop-n-hook can load.

I already expect no MT from Miller in Ft. Worth. Since I'm delivering on Tuesday (which will put me at 2600 miles for the week) I DON'T CARE!

I won't call Command until I have an MT in hand assuming the normal run around from Lancaster.
