Also, try to keep an updated protection software installed.
If your computer becomes victim of an attack and you seek pro help (I, e best buy)
They won't sit and try to figure out how or can it be fixed, they keep cloned copies of all OS systems which they just load in and wipe off all of your systems mem.
This way saving time and hustle, then they'll tell you how they couldn't save your data.

    tsavory and pattyj Thank this.

Unfortunately you can't use more than one. Norton will kick off (as example) kapersky and vice versa, including others.
It is best to have an all-in one protection software that you can keep updating online.
Browse the internet at will and enjoy it. After all that's what it is meant for.

It is sad that our elders and younger folks are victims of these. I'm glad you know better, cyber crimes are really hard to close for cops. Most come from out of the country and even overseas

doesn't matter what you have. NONE of them protect you against everything.

If you send me your credit card number I can guarantee you won't have that problem again. :)

As for anti-virus I have been happy with MS Security Essentials and AVG.

And stop surfing Russian porn sites. ;)

Ccleaner, revo uninstaller, and others are programs running on your system's ram taking away versatility of your computer. I suggest unless you are an ace on your OS and use it to the max to not complicate your computer's breathing with these.
