What's it like going through tunnels in a big rig ? I was watching a video and the trailer looked awful close to the arch of the tunnel.
I am sure there is more room than it looked like but was going through tunnels an issue with anyone when starting out ?

In 1980 I was training one of the dock workers to be a fill in driver
i just got into the Boston fish market grabbed another trailer and Bob
we were heading back out to the Mass Pike heading to NYC
when he abruptly stopped the truck 100 yards before the toll booth
He says "This truck won't fit thru that"
I says "It did an hour ago"

honeybadger, you are going to Tenn., aren't you? You have good instincts and made a good decision on the trailer if you will be traveling I 40.
Drivers beware DOT working hard on i40 tn going both ways -
I'm supposed to be going to TN. I might make ut to Kingdom City, MO tonight. Ended up fixing the trailer because I can't stand people who don't fix crap and my week is already shot to heck so I might as well do my job the way everyone is supposed to do this freaking job. Sorry, hostile badger is hostile and nit posting much today.
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
You made a good call ....if you had run with it without having the load reworked and fixing the trailer you would have been in Tennessee today. Sometimes doing the right thing pays
