Our Teletracs GPS won't recognize the address for the QVC distribution center in Rocky Mount, NC as being IN Rocky Mount. It's considered "Unincorporated Edgecombe County", lol.

If they have a Moe's, I'd put up with Pilot parking to eat but never fuel or spend the night there.
Pittsburg is just a truck stop desert like Louisville.Rocks Thanks this. -
the original Moes is in Portsmouth NH where I grew up
the original Jersey Mikes is in Point Pleasant NJ where i kept the fishing boats for 15 years

^^^^^Since when did YOU grow up?
Giggles the Original and TruckDuo Thank this. -
Jersey Mike's makes a righteous sub. There's one about 2 mi from my house that I visit when I'm hungry for a sandwich made by someone else and I remember it's there.

Hmmmmm, I could do a whole lot with this statement! Are you trying to lead me out onto thin ice?
RedForeman and wore out Thank this. -
Glad you found the place tangerine... I was going to tell you yesterday that some of the pics on Google are old.... but you figured it out... That's why I google the co's name a few different ways and if they all point to the same location, I conclude Google pic is old but the place is there... I also use Yahoo maps and mapquest sometimes...tangerineGT Thanks this.

So... got rid of my load this morning and headed to next shipper...
When I got here, customer said product wasn't ready...
they told me to back on to a dock and almost one hr later told me to pull out of the dock cause it would take a little longer to pull out the load and they needed to load other trucks...
I was looking at my elog and seeing my 14 vanishing pretty quickly....
So, I asked them to let me take my 10 here but they said, "No..." and said there was a t/s not far from here and a small diner where trucks park for free...
However, I thought... by the time they finish with me I will be out of hrs and it will be too late to even find a parking spot...
And I was satellite viewing WM nearby and other possible locations... but nothing seemed really good...
So, I called my dsp and told her about the delay and that I was considering leaving customer and coming back in the morning... And asked her opinion.... HA! She immediately shoot a msg to broker and we were still on the phone when customer came to my door and told me that the boss said, "As long as I don't idle, they will let me take my 10 hr break here..."
YEAH!!!!....
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!!
And I am parked here for the night...
Now I am thinking... should I request detention? Well... have been here for 4 hrs and they are still loading... So, it definitely qualifies for detention...
Will leave very early in the morning and avoid freaking traffic jam in the area. I am about 40 miles southeast of Harrisburg, PA and going to GA...FatDaddy Thanks this.
