Thanks. Went with the Whynter since I could get it here before I leave on my next trip on Thursday. Seems like a lot of money for something I will hopefully only need for a few months until I can go IC (read on here that the IC T680's have a fridge built in). That said it seems like it will be much better than those junk 12 volt coolers that keep breaking on me and it will be good to have a backup. I still have a few things to work out on that front anyway. For example I'll need to find a park location for the truck where I plan on moving to in South Jersey. Also, I'll have to learn how to do my own taxes, when/where to fuel, etc.

S word. F word. D word. Repeat, ad nauseum, and feel free to add your own variations.
Popped a trailer tire, quietly (the only other one I've lost sounded like a shotgun blast)...a kind hearted driver asked me via cb if I knew I was on fire, and told me which tire. Stopped, grabbed my trusty extinguisher - hoping like hell I didn't need it - and checked. No smoke, no flames, no sparks...just a shredded tire. Sigh. Call SEM, and wait. I told her I thought I could make the 4 miles to the service plaza safely, so I did. I feel safer here in a parking lot than sitting on the side of I-90, so here I sit, waiting for a repair.
175 miles to my 1800 live unload, and 4 hours to get there. Does anyone know which trucking god I should appeal to? -
Pop the seal, pack the load into your upper bunk and move out smartly
runningman0661 and Dipschitt Thank this. -

Closest Wingfoot was 115 miles away...had to wait. Never did get a call back from SEM, but the tire fixer did get there & get me back on the road.

I have no idea how many people passed me without saying a freaking thing. Lots of trucks, too. The one who did say something rode up next to me waving his cb mic like HE was in a parade!!
It being the number 2 tire, I couldn't see it around the air deflector thingies on the trailer... -
I live just off i35 in temple tx, heard a tire blow and the flap, flap. It took awhile for the truck to stop but all was well. Man was that thing loud sounded like a bomb !
