####, when I delivered shopping carts they were 4 rows double stacked and secured with wood and rope.
A ton of dunnage though.

What does unionization have to do with it. All receivers are slow union or not. A way to speed them up is to get out and unload your own truck. While your in there chat with the receiver. They like that. Tell them that lumpers are scum they also like that.'olhand Thanks this.

I delivered them too a few times. I was working LTL and they were tied into the front of a 53.

Dock lights. Green: ok to pull off. Red: Don't pull off.

Forklift Accident: Wow!

That video takes you to youtube where a can of worms just overflows

Hi Gets, actually, I think someone told them they were empty, possibly as a cruel joke, and many times those lights are activated by the automatic dock plate, which, I see in the video, the guy was going to put an aluminum plate in, so it may not have had those lights. Before I ever pulled out, I always went around back to check, something I'm sure this driver will do in the future.

I love all the union/non union arguments--especially w/all the grocery whse's--It has less than NOTHING to do with unionization--and since the majority of drivers just check in(typically with the lumpers)and just go sit in their trux--you really have NO idea of the goings on inside...
The truth is--it is the lack of receivers in these whse today--many of them will have ONE receiver for an entire section--so while the lumpers might have you done in less than an hour--with all the cutbacks--there is one poor ####### working his ### off--responsible for tagging and checking 25+doors at a time....
And now in most places the receivers are not only responsible for tagging--but for doing all the RF work which typically used to fall to the forklift drivers who put freight away--the process has become very time consuming and they can do only one load at a time...All in terms of them saving money--while you sit---course a little proactivity can cut this time by 75% or more--but that DOES require you to get out of the truck and get involved LOL
