If you can relocate, North Dakota could be a very good option for you. Go on the North Dakota Job Service website and call the companies out there. Big demand for drivers. Red river supply in Williston would probably hire you. Good Luck.

3 preventables is usually the limit. How old are they?

Those companies up in ND want a clean driving record. If people think they can go up there and get a driving job with a dinged up Mvr well, It ain't gonna happen. You might get on with a two truck operation here in the states. you would be driving an old rust bucket with two million miles on it.

The insurance companies dictate who is hired. Unfortunately these same companies are getting applications from drivers with zero accidents; who would you hire?. I would knock on doors locally, mom & pops etc. I do mean drive out there and talk with them instead of the phone. It is more difficult to say no to someone face to face. Good luck.

I'd like to know how recent these accidents are. If you are being turned down all over the place, I'd say they are pretty recent and/or the time between each one is too narrow.
Regardless of time span; someone see's 3 accidents....all they can think is "dude can't drive". The job IS driving.

Well greg, you are 60 years old, with (according to your profile,) 3 years driving experience and 3 preventable accidents. Not good. But possibly not insurmountable. Depending on what they were and what the outcome was. It would likely make a difference if your accidents were considered "preventable" by the company you worked for, but were not something you received a ticket for. Hopefully there were no serious injuries or fatals.

I am really bothered by your statement that you "deserve much better than maybe trucking company." You probably DO deserve better, but it may be hard to find. What I'm not clear on here, is if you are working on an on-call basis and they MAY call you once a day or once in a while, OR if you have not actually worked for them, but they MAY call you to go to work. If it is the latter, they are just shinning you on.

As others have posted, it is likely an insurance thing. And also as others have posted, get some face time in with some of the smaller companies in your area. Hopefully this is nothing that you can't work around.

so what were the accidents? So you feel you deserve better? well how about the companies , THEY DESERVE BETTER.
The only companies that will take a chance on you are the ones with junk equipment. You have a pattern of accidents so why would a company with good equipment hire you and not only risk their equipment but also put their company at risk..Truck accidents can cost millions , even a minor accident can cost thousands,,It is very easy to have an accident free driving record, One accident might be excusable for a dependable driver with a good attitude but 3 accidents?

You are uninsurable, too many mistakes in a short period of time,, time to think of an other career..

I know it is easier and less embarrassing to give out the details.. but, it does help the people here help and advise you better... preventable accident.. is too general.. if you would let us know what the accidents actually were we could advice you better..
