Nope he was early. Trying to get his first stop off so he could drive to second over the weekend. How much is the layover for a weekend? $50 a day?

 

50 after the first 48 hours unfortunately.

 

I'm confused now. Was he scheduled for Monday del in the first place and tried to del Friday? If that's the case, he gets nothing as he was dispatched and hadn't reached his appointment time yet.

 

Well I got 2 extra days home since my dm called Friday and was due back Saturday saying got you a load for Monday so you get 2 free days. Going to johns manville in Macon like always when come off home time. Gotta get up at 230 and call outside repair to get truck started since batteries are fried.

 

I'm on home time now as well. Got home 2 days early so I get 2 free also!

I have to call outside repair tomorrow or Tuesday and get shop authorization. Have a check engine light, front end shake, clutch is all messed up thanks to TA in cheyenne and my truck is running with coolant at less than 140 degrees while hot.

I'm home until next monday!

Being home with family and friends having fun makes me question why I am a truck driver!

Guess it's in my blood now. I'm here to stay.

 

I'd do the same if it were myself. I got a jump in a TA parking lot one time. Cost 150 dollars. I'm sure a road call is much more.

It wasn't my 150 dollars, but u still felt guilty having my last company pay for it.

 

Has anyone used the military skills waiver to get their CDL, and got hired by Melton?
