let me try and adress a few of your questions.
build the tuck to the kind of frieght you are going to pull. you can get a long wheel base base into just about anywere if you are carefull. my 138" sleeper was only 800 lbs heaver than my 63" sleeper. the fram streach will be about 10 lbs an inch. the gen set will be about 400 lbs. so the total added weight will really depend on what you build. and what you start with. really think about it befor you do it. you should be able to build and strech for about $60 k if you do some of the work.

Hi, Thanks everyone for the responses..

It's been quite a long while since i've been on here reading and what not.

I ended up getting a Maroon Freightliner Cascadia with a 144" sleeper on it.. In fact if you get a chance holler at me when you see me on the road.:biggrin_255:

Driving it really isn't much different from a regular truck, tho it is longer and slightly heavier. I've had no issues "YET" with parking.. ok.. that's a lie.. lol.. The Flying J in Dallas, Tx is the only place I have a problem.. I just don't trust other drivers to park next to me.

Anyways, thanks again and be safe.

P.S. im pretty sure you've seen the truck,, if not you will..

Warning: once you get used to that big bunk its hell trying to go back:). You get used to the length. The weight will be a factor but I think its worth it

Worth it for sure, I think when they raise the weight limit to 97,000 your truck will be ahead of its time. Lol I like the large sleepers I plan on buying one pretty soon also I think about a 100"/120" would be plenty for my needs , I spend about 28 days a month on the road , have even considered selling the house and going full time , but guess I need a place to call "home" lol , congratulations on your new truck ,

Why do we talk about 300" wheelbases? You can fit an 86" on a 244" w900b, probably closer to 100" on a t800 or t600. The guy out of brooten, MN can build a very functional 86" sleeper with all the bells and whistles.
