That is true. Cooler fuel burns more efficient than warm fuel. To the range of the truck stays the same. They publish a fuel temperature compensation chart. At 70° we can fill to 3600,psi at 90,it fills to 4000. The range of the truck stays the same. I don't stand near the truck while filling.

It's pointless have diesel more $$$$ than gasoline.
bobtrucks2204 Thanks this. -
I know, then throw on a bunch of crap on the truck that makes it use d.e.f. that comes in plastic bottles, egr parts that have to be replaced, and uses more fuel. Then they tell us that it is good for the environment. I couldn't believe that the cng motor has egr. Why, it is supposed to be the cleanest fuel to burn. It flies out of the butt of a rainbow color unicorn. smh.

A few Canadian companies have run cng for at least 5 years now but apparently don't want to expand fleet ... They found that maintenance costs were high and upfront costs as well payback is too long also if road taxes were introduced to the fuel they would drop it altogether .. At first they were getting government subsidies and such which made it profitable . I think it was more the look at me I'm green thing at first.. On smaller units I think it makes sense but on hwy units it won't fly unless states and provinces let them run forever not paying road taxes which isn't likely IMO

True..but ARAMCO has been always been Americanized...from top to bottom since early 1930s.
thr magnitude of the explosion exceeds by far any other fuel explosion.

I converted my Windstar Van to LPG, so I pay half of gas price, CNG is 20% cheaper LPG, but tanks are too heavy.
In Ukraine many CNG pumps are surounded with thik walls, becouse sometimes tanks blow. It usually ruins cabin totally.
Many city buses are with CNG engines too.
But really on road CNG is the safe fuel. If tank is broken and gas leaks it goes very cold becouse of pressure difference, so cold that fire is nearly impossible. Methan is light gas and goes up, not like LPG, and no fuel on road that burns in case of accident.
Really there are so many CNG vehicles there, that I saw some accidents and I can surelly say CNG is not so dangerouse like gasoline. -
Thats why I would go for gliders if I bought something brand new.

I have Freightliner (Series 60 Euro-II calibrated) and Volvo D12 Euro-III.
Really more marakets are open for E-III and all are open for DEF trucks.
For example u cant use pre EGR trucks for European green zones and for example for California. -
Are u aware that we can't talk about emission delete?Last edited by a moderator: Sep 10, 2014

I noticed that when I drove the ISX12G that the RPM's seemed to lag behind what your foot did on the throttle. If you jump out of a diesel and hop into a gas then it will take a few miles to get use to it. I am very surprised that you got a manual instead of an Allison automatic as the autos run so much smoother.
