I told them I would come over, and give them a chance, a test drive so to speak... It will be up to them if they want me to stay... If I don't like it there, or if there are problems where they don't work out, I will move on... I will either go with Smokey Point Distributing out of Washington state, or go up to North Dakota and work in the Bakken oil field... SPD pays about the same base, plus oversize, etc... SPD is a flatbed, and heavy haul specializing in aerospace; their big shippers are Boeing and Spirit... As for the oil patch, I can make $100,000.00 plus a year just hauling frack water but it is a little inconvenient...

Well you have plenty of options so you will be OK! We haven't decided yet but I guess we are running out of time lol

I have tanker, hazmat, doubles and triples on my license... I only have 2 1/2 years of reefer experience, all at FRE, except for occasional reefer containers, and hauling some flat screen manufacturing tables... I have about 7 months on a van division of a flat carrier I was with, as a favor to help with a driver shortage... I have over 20 years experience in the flatbed/heavyhaul/oil patch world... I have plenty of mountain, winter experience, and off road experience... I expect I am qualified to be an ice road trucker... I probably can go almost anywhere I wish... FRE was convenient due to getting through the house often... You likely have plenty of options as well... There are a number of companies who are offering large sign on bonuses... Since I am already here, I decided I would follow through with Celedon, but I will have a low tolerance for dishonesty, BS, and other issues that plague large corporations like this...

How much time are they giving them to move their stuff out? It takes a while to do that.

Sounds like what happened when central refrigerated trucks got the name "Swift" slapped on their sides. Little bird told me that 300 central drivers quit.

when you get to the yard you can take all the time you need. as long as your not late to orientation. so the best thing would be to get there early as you can to get the truck cleaned out.

    Huckebein Thanks this.
