Does anyone know of a safe and secure place I can park my tractor trailer in the Goldsboro NC area. I am a student driver and looking to have my truck within a month. Thanks.

 

No clue, try the Wal-Mart or see if you can make a deal with the Downeast Travel Center

Owner is short fat ####. Thinks he's a gangster, but really he's in deep debt. His wife,who is illiterate runs the company. I think she dates some of his truck drivers. But the company is futile. No good loads, money sucks, No office and junk trucks with junk trailers. Owner Rupender is a nasty, smelly and just a dirty guy. I don't know how these illiterates are allowed to even do business. He calculates the miles wrong. So if you wanna work for this guy good-luck.

Owners have one thing we don't, Money, and lots of it!!!!! It is all fixed and decided already for drivers, it is all about there company and there money, and they do EVERYTHING in their power to keep it flowing into their bank account. And no driver will stop that from happening, another thing does everybody see a theme happening in our industry? A lot of people from other countries going to school to become driver from OTHER countries? Well, they are recruiting from all over the globe, because they can't get anyone to work for these scum-bags. They pay you just enough to stay but not to leave, they have the same forum we do, so don't second guess it. They do tag names and conversations, when you go to a new company, ask a hundred questions about everything with the company. Take care who jump into the seat/bed with any truck.

All Due Respect, On a facebook picture that I commented on, (a picture of a solder holding a gun) I made a random comment like, "Hey this one looks like mine", I went to work the next day and was let go. The lady thought she was being cute and "sticking to me" by telling me in a laugh that the reason I was fired was for "claiming to own a firearm"..... She did stick it to me, where I live the employment is "At Will". The company can terminate anyone for *any reason* or for no reason at all...... a face book post was considered a "reason" according to my lawyer. So I agree with Tip. I Cover My A.. every chance I can.
That being said..... I seek out blogs and forums where I can educate myself on the issues I am interested in. Honest, contented, unbiased and even enraged opinions help me to understand what pitfalls to expect..... I try to find all the pros and the cons to whatever the issue may be. It seems the ones that are anonyms are the ones that are the most honest..... whether they are good reviews, or bad.... recruiters (military, school, (un)employment agencies) they tell you anything that wins them the bonus for the signup, not the truth to the job or market.
I'm *old* to the lifestyle of trucking, but *new* to the truck driving industry. (Meaning I have friends, family and even enemies that live this life everyday, I have yet to saddle up and drive so to speak).
So far I have found TONS of useful (to me) information and valid reasons behind them. Can't wait to learn more Although a newbie, I don't wish to go forth unprepared! Keep up the advise and wisdom !!!!

Please check with your company on where to park. They can help you with this, find you a safe place to park . Don't just leave it anywhere.
