OK I have a load going from sparks to DFW. How is 95 from the reno/sparks/fernley area down to las Vegas? I will be about 76k according to my preplan. I have ridden it on a motorcycle years ago but can't remember how truck friendly it is.
My GPS wants me to take 80/70/35 but I would rather do the 95/93 to 40 then take 287 at Amarillo. And honestly I think my GPS is a jerk.

It's a long road but doable. Couple of truckstops along the way

It's very truck friendly just boring two lane. No scales. LTL runs triples down it. Just fuel up and stock up. Not any real truckstops on the way or their closed in the middle of the night.

If you get lonely, you can always stop at the CatHouse in Beatty.

It's a good route and your best option Reno to Vegas.....sparse stops and traffic but a couple long slow hills....

So your GPS wants you to go 260 miles out of the way?

    Mine wants me to take I 5 and I 10 between the Pacific NW and El Paso instead of I 25, US491/191/6, I 15 and I 84

Be careful in rain. Lots of flooding.
