SERIOUSLY? This is the reason many drivers sit on the fuel island because they are scared to lose their 30 minute break. QC doesn't work that way. Even if it did start logging you as driving, you simply stop and press sleeper berth, and as long as it is less than 5 minutes, it shouldn't log.

I just moved my truck 1/4 of a mile. Across a 4 way intersection and into a pilot with out tripping it. You have to make sure that you turn the truck off after pulling the parking brake. It tells and resets the computer trip indicator.
the big trucks behind me didn't like it because I stayed in 4th gear but once they asked "wtf you doing on the CB" I just said I don't wNt to trip my ELOGS to on duty while moving my truck. They understood. -
Ours logs 2 minutes. (I think it's BS but hey whatever) -
I've used off duty drive with negative hours and it didn't hurt it.

I just do it and it doesn't change my logs, oh wait paper.

My company has "Off Duty Driving" as a selection for duty status on our Qualcomms. We have up to 45 minutes of this per day. It's not supposed to be used if we are under a load, but it sure is useful in situations where you have to move the truck and don't want to screw up your hours. I know alot of companies don't have this option setup on their units, but if you have it, use it!
