Yeah started to go home, but I'm going to Piney next week and taking off 5 or 6 days.

Osceola, Iowa Rest Area I35 SB. Headed 505 miles tomorrow to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It's one of those #### grocery warehouse loads. Ugh (my first one too). Live unload appt is 00:45 Friday Morning. According to workflow the customer doesn't allow parking. By the time the 3 hour+ unload is done my 14 will be up. Mentioned it to my dbl today and he said there is a truck stop 4 miles away on the same road. He said if they say I can't stay there then to call support shift and they may have to have me towed to a safe park location. That coupled with the fact that I have never driven that late at night in my time with Schneider should make it an interesting day/night tomorrow. Planning to stay up as late as my body will allow tonight and hopefully I can sleep until like 10:00ish tomorrow so I don't get too tired and fall asleep behind the wheel. I'm not going to lie having to change up my normal running hours/schedule on the fly for this load has me a little worried that something might happen.

 

Take it as easy as you need to. If you don't feel safe, stop. Remember..."Nothing we do is worth hurting ourselves or others"

 

Lot of those places you can park on the street outside the gate...Can't speak for that one though.. I try not to go to them anymore, but sometimes they sneak up on me. Just do what you can, that's all you can do.

Tiny hole in the wall truckstop mm45 I20 Alabama. Delicious jambalaya! Cajun chicken! I put on 5 pounds between lunch and dinner. People were really nice. It was cool to listen to the locals talk in those Cajun/swamp/hillbilly accents
