don't forget building some new refineries, more oil online isn't going to help much if we don't have the refining capacity. i definitely agree with you on the bark humpers though.:occasion5:

    Ladies, Guys,
It may or may not have happen yet at your company. But what is happening and will happen, is this. Trucking companies will slow there trucks down. A few have already, to save fuel and money for the company. Now that will take money out of the company drivers pocket. Also another way they are going to save money is by uping your health insurance rates. It saves them more money, and cost you more. Now you are paying more at the pumps, more in the grocery store, more for your ins, and you are losing money because your truck was slowed down.
You can slam me if you like, but the truth will hurt.

You cannot be slammed for telling the truth. So far, we have ben lucky; my husband's boss is trying to hold on without sacrificing the drivers....

We need to strike one or two states. My fav is Oregon and California.

I think its that simple. I have already posted a full description of how I think it needs to be done, but obviously no one wants to read it. I am not saying my idea is the best, but the fact there is no feed back on it only confirms my belief that we will never come together.

    Regards,
    Bully

that's probably what needs to happen, but if it's not organized and if there's not enough participation it'll never accomplish anything.

NOthing needs to happen other than the O/O's who can't figure out how to make money need to take some BUSINESS courses!!

OOIDA offers pretty intensive courses, and so do many other orginazations and compaines.

They need to either sit down and run a business like it should, or give it up and go back to driving for someone else. nobody EVER said being a o/o was easy.

I read it, it was an idea I have heard no less than 200 times in the past from similar clueless people... Now you know my opinion, I thought ignoring it would be enough, but you insisted on feedback....

ok, i guess you've missed quite a bit on your "vacation", let me try to act it out for you. yes, you're probably right about some people hauling cheap freight. BUT, and i don't know what kind of product you haul. if you raise your rates so high to cover your expenses that the product becomes unaffordable for most average people, they'll simply quit buying. what do you think will happen then? it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Yeah the rates have gone up so much more than minimum wage over the years...

oh wait... we can have 100 ft long trailers and 120,000 GVR trucks so we don't need a rate increase, sorry I forgot!
