Ancient Chinese secret. Pay at to drive time, stay below 45mph, if it hits drive stop at 4 mins switch back wait a min or 2 proceed on if you need to stop again do so.

Thanks. Think I can make it 5.8 miles w/o getting a violation? Not sure I want to risk it. Confirmed with the customer that I can't stay on the property so calling support shift after they finish unloading me it is.

gr's pretty cool. Met him in Green Bay a while back...think it was when I was there for my 90 day check ride (at 30 days...)

So I'm unloaded, lumper paid and paperwork done. Just waiting on a wrecker for an out of hours tow to the TA down the street.

Yes it can be done with practice. The real key is how fast you go and for how long. If you keep it under 35 and stop once a mile (rough numbers each truck is unique) you can get a solid 5 miles before it will kick you on the drive line. The question is how far down a highway do you have to go? Anymore than 2.5 going more than 45 makes it tricky to get off the drive line. Once you kick yourself to on duty you need to be careful on how far you go. If you switch to on duty at 2 minutes and Jill kicks you back to drive at 4:30 she'll take the whole 5 mins. I would have tried it going in but 6 miles is on the outside.

EggoTrucker Thanks this. -
You used to be able to control/alt/delete the Qualcomm over and over again so it kept rebooting and could never kick you over to drive time. They caught on to that trick lol
-
I miss that trick.

They can/might still flag you for a false log. I did the same am I only had to go less than a 1/2 mile. Truck didn't get over 20 mph and I coasted most of the way with the engine off and my status never changed. But it still got flagged as a false log. Nobody said anything about it and When I questioned it and gave my reason, all was said was , "You gotta do what you gotta do".
*edit*
Just remembered that I had got caught behind an accident with a fatality that shut down I5 near where that stupid metal moose/deer/cow/whateverthehellitis sculture and ran several minutes over my 14 trying to find a legal place to park. I sent in a message via QC, stating my reason and got a thanks and have a good nightmickimause Thanks this.
