All great ideas. Since you can go faster if you choose as an IC do you still use the 50mph SNI teaches or do you adjust it? Do IC's get fuel solutions too or do they have to figure out the best/cheapest place to fuel on their own?

As IC we get the exact same fuel and routing from navigo as company driver's it doesn't differentiate between IC and company

Perfect! Thanks TennMan.

But one needs to be very careful. If one follows the fuel solutions as an IC that are followed religiously by company drivers to the letter they would over buy fuel and get 5 mpg.
-
Why would one buy $250.00 worth of fuel in KS to cover $12.00 in IFTA tax?

Interesting Runninglate. I don't know what the best way to fuel as an IC is. How do you guys do it?

50mph is an industry average. you do have to account for traffic, areas/routing you'll run, any number of variables. 50mph is a good guide.mickimause and moosc Thank this.

I use 50mph when trip planning for motorcycle trips, too. Saves a lot of frustration on my part, because it generally takes my husband 50% longer than everyone else to get moving...scythe08 Thanks this.

That 50 seems to be the think to use my first two weeks I tried to plan based on highway speed or the 60 I was driving and it was disastrous this week I used sni planning method and I've been way more accurate with my etas

Yeah it's hard to avg. 60 with traffic etc..Especially if you run some of the goat paths, then you will luck to avg. 40 lol
