I think it's less a case of you being an idiot magnet and more a case of a higher percentage of idiots out here these days.

 

Thats just downright scary when that happens. I have had that happen a few times. Now i - as a rule - get over to the next lane on the left when there is someone on the shoulder. I dont do it to be courteous anymore, but because of idiots like this.

 

idiocy is the new thing in trucking. it's getting really bad.

a lot of truckers really like to play their stupid games. taking after cars.

 

Not to mention the knuckleheads who pull this stunt on dark, turning grades with their emergencies still flashing. There was traffic, it was a close call for a few of us.

I have trucks whip over in the left lane in front of me all the time here in texas on I35. Ive come to expect it. And its always in the last seconds just as i get up on the tail of the trailer. If Im the only one in the left lane cant they wait the 10 seconds till I pass. Are they so tired of following whatever is in front of them. I expect it from 4 wheelers but not 18. They need to start giving tests for stupid.

 

They need to really start ticketing these trucks stopping on the shoulder of the Interstate. IF you have to take a 30 minute or pee, STOP on a rest area, an off ramp, an on ramp. The shoulder is for break downs and emergencies!

 

if you have to pass a stupid test to get a normal drivers license then you would see a 75% drop in licensed drivers... would be nice but won't happen...
