That's usually due to the audio cable being a bad cable. A wire near the connector being split.

It's a ground loop, just like MsJamie(who must have a car audio background after reading various posts) said. If you run a wire from the ground on your head unit to the ground on your inverter, that should eliminate your problem. The old cheap grey Monster Cable RCA cables used to have a wire integrated in them for this exact purpose when hooking up amps.

This is the solution. I had the exact same problem on my car. I borrowed my friend cable like this and it fixed the problem. I ended up replacing it with a USB port on a new stereo instead but this will fix the problem.

Do not say its not the problem just because the product is listed as mp3/smartphone. 99.9% of people don't have a tv in there car so they wouldn't list it as this. If you are hearing it only when the truck engine is running its a grounding problem.

Cool. Thanks for the replies. But this annoying issue just took a back seat since my turbo locked up this afternoon. lol It was so much easier trying to deal with feedback from the radio than waiting for a wrecker on shoulder of I-70 lmao. Trucking....if it ain't one thing, it's another.

This has been a bad year as far as breakdowns. Can't believe I've made it almost four months this stretch. Last year we didn't have any problems to speak of but this year....geez...one thing after another....Hopefully by 2 tomorrow I'll be back at it....

me 2, but i doubt it. just checked on the truck. and apparently it's not running anymore. and i still don't know if the problem it went in for originally, is fixed. although i'm highly doubting it. since it was SUPPOSEDLY fix, 4 days ago.

Yeah, I don't like going to shops I don't know, like this one here. Of course, everyone I've talked to in Booneville says they are a great shop but....I had choice between KW in Columbia or these guys. After the recent experiences with KW shops, I went with the little guy.

kw shops are only there for the money, and lots of it. and they apparently don't feel like they need your permission. they could care less if your truck is actually fixed. although the one on the 80, east of cheyenne wyoming did me very solid. only kw shop i would actually recommend.

i took my kw's to pete, or rush truck centers.
