i have a CDLI from WI if i try and go to mav, would i have to get a cdl from there home state wile training ?
-
i see they have a facility in green bay WI but is that one of where training takes place ? as that would be convenient
-
mdel747 - No, you don't need to get a new CDL. You keep the one from your home state.
All training is at North Little Rock (plus a couple of days at Ft. Smith, AR) except for Specialized Div., which is in NC. -
Because there are so many more flatbeds than c/w trailers, and if one requests c/w, one has to wait for a opening.
As I posted, the rate is the same for c/w div and all the flatbed divisions. Only Specialized has a separate pay scale. I asked that question while at NLR.
I'm still trying to figure out while you are even posting on this thread? -
I just tossed my hat into the Maverick ring- that is, submitted my application. But, to be honest, I'm not terribly sanguine about getting hired. They look to be essentially Mississippi River and east (yeah, I see some arms stretching into OK and MO, but in general they are eastern based) - and I'm in Denver.
We shall see, we shall see. -
JimF I suggest you take a good look at yourself in the mirror immediately..You actually had me also really buying you and yours sob story ,msg# 946,then you come back with what in my view amounts to me "Im ABOVE the tarping thing...
It is clear to me you are confused in your life decisions. Just like the ultimate superace outfit that has low pay and bennys.
I don't wonder for a fraction of a second that you had to travel to the ROCK to get a anwser of some sort about the real down low. And the evasive some sort you got yesterday has changed midstream. My ole trucks still running good. My ticker's tickin' like they say it should. Go Figure? LUCKY MAN ! Happy Trails ! -
I have never witnessed a Maverick flatbed in Denver CO,or anywhere west of I35 on I70,I80,I90 0r 94.Maverick will broker loads out to the west once in a while but another outfit will haul it out that way, ect, and they probably will not use Mavericks brokerage to do it.Maverick has a link on there website for brokerage, click on loads to see yourself.Look out at who is hauling the flatbed freight there in the Mile Hi,and the mill in Pueblo, ect

It's good to see so many drivers on here from Kentucky (notarps & all you others) I have enjoyed your post on here. Maverick called me yesterday(left me message) I already have CDl from Schneider National Training Academy. I am in the Ashland, KY area. Hope to get on US Division. Keep up the great posts guys and hope to be working with you very soon.

I went thru there twice this week. I got a buddy of mine who lives in the same area (he is with mav also) he called me earlier and he was going thru there. That should be a good area for you so you ought to see the house every weekend.
