It's true, when my husband was with a certain company, he only had his permit. He went with a trainer for 5 weeks and was told that was too long, but in their website you would go with a trainer for 5-8 weeks, then get your license. My husband now with a different company went to their school 3 weeks got his license, and now goes with their trainer for 10 days and 2nd trainer for another 10 days and then on your own. I don't see the point of first getting your license after you spend all that time with a trainer, like the first company he was with.

Glad to hear he's doing well, I believe I know where he is and I hope he starts a new post with his experience at that company.

Hey Biker, You gotta have a permit right! Go take the test right now, if you don't have a permit than they were/are breaking the law, besides, I think you are allowed three tries before you have to retrain and if you are that far along, brush up on the testing and get after it, don't wait for them.

I find it oddd...that no one has mentioned to you that in training, or not, it's your @S* if you are caught! :biggrin_2551:
Personally I'm calling safety the 1st time this is ever even hinted at.

You can have a permit and drive with a trainer. ON THE JOB TRAINING. But the trainer needs to be in the jump seat at all times.(LIKE OHNOO SAID) I believe what they do is after 5 weeks they bring you to your home state to take your road test. After that you will also test with Mike Millis. They will either keep you in training, send you solo or send you home. In a few cases they have sent people home before they even took the road test and thats what is pi$$ing people off. They goto their school 3 weeks(as a newbie) then orientation, then out w/ trainer(once with trainer you get paid for training).
I'm Glad BikerDon is happy and didn't give up. Good Luck at RHOEL
