The really sad part is that they have to have a sign to point out that it is a single lane underpass. I guess that is for the lady that tried to get around me in Anchorage a while back while going through a round about. Me taking both lanes with my 4-ways on did not clue her in. After I put her up on the curb without hitting her she followed me to our terminal where she kept yelling at me. She kept saying there are two lanes and I have to stay in one. She could not grasp that my 53' trailer is about the same length than the diameter of the round about. I was trying to explain to her that the trailer will not curve while going through round abouts, but she could not see the humor in it. We offered to call Anchorage Police to educate her more, but she finally left.
I double dog dare you part deux.

Haha reminds me of when I ended up here one night (https://www.google.com/maps/@38.566...ata=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1s0tVQun3hFvUjU0ZOTZKFTw!2e0). I sat there for an hour debating on whether to back up the hill or to go for it, so I pulled up to the underpass and eyed the size for another hour, finally said #### it I'm going for it. Somehow I made it

I think I met the same lady somewhere down here one lazy afternoon. Here comes the roundabout, on go my 4-ways. Check the mirror and see the only vehicle back there far enough, so I slide over and take up both lanes in anticipation of the right turn into the roundabout preparing for the left turn going around.
Then, much to my surprise, all of a sudden here comes the vehicle trying to pass on the right...just as we get into the curve. Of course, there was not enough room and the trailer was moving in her direction, so she, too, hit the curb because my tandems and I had nowhere to go.
Fortunately, I too, missed her. But I did verify she had a middle finger. And a very thick carotid artery. -
Gotta love that date in the concrete.

We (Walsh drivers) deal with that all the time on the PCH 101 in Astoria, Oregon.
There's a mill we service in Warrenton just across Young's Bay from Astoria and just before the bridge is a big roundabout where highway 202 intersects with 101.
Of course the Pacific Coast Highway 101 is a major tourist route and people are gawking at the scenery on the mouth of the Columbia River but there are great big signs on both lanes that say "DO NOT DRIVE NEXT TO TRUCKS".
We try to hog both lanes going in and with the flashers on but the idiots still try to pass us and honk their horns and make obscene gestures when they get put off the road.

Now that looks to me like perfectly GREAT weather. For up there. As long as I'm down here.
