I called Schneider today and asked them about their driving school. I was told they aren't excepting Arizona drivers. She told me that they need drivers else where. I asked her if I lived in Riverside if they would except me. She said yes, but they only excepting people who are willing to drive teams at this time.
Does anyone know how to get around this, like can I just say I live in the area they want? Could I just drive my motor home to a location suitable to them or rent a motel room? They have trucks coming through Kingman, AZ; which is where I am now, whats up?
Thanks.
Schneider won't except AZ students, got any ideas

is there any reason why you want to go with schneider? there are other companies out there. Knock on doors till you find one that will take you.

I started out self employed in the construction industry and when the housing market went flat a couple of years ago I got a CDL and started driving a 16yard end dump for a buddy of mine. His operation kept a little income going for awhile. That ended up turning into one or two days a week so i have started sorting out trucking co's found on this great forum (lots of +/- info to sort thru)and applied to several.

I really dont know your area so I cant recommend any companies. But if Schneider is making you jump through so many hoops I would just open up a phone book and start asking if they are hiring drivers.

I hear you about the big trucking co's training. This forum is a treasure chest full of good info. Ithink i am going to tough it out a little longer and see what happens to the local economy. I heard from a pretty good source at Mohave County plannining and zoning that the Rattlesnake wash project is about to kick off and Rhoads over in Golden Valley is lining up his equipment to start dirt work again. I smell a belly dump in my near future !AfterShock Thanks this. -
