Somewhere in MO with a live unload load with no delivery time.
I plan to bring it in to Coca Cola at 1000 tomorrow, but who knows if they will take me without an appt.?
I was told to pick it up (when it should have been picked up 2 days ago!) and then they would get the delivery time. After calling my DM and sending a Mac22 several hours later, still nothing even several hours later. Not even a PTA update.
What a nice load coming off home time.
I'm still trying to get a load back to the Target in PA. Maybe they can bypass the local planners and send me a load to get me there.
I ignored one pplan today that was going in the opposite direction to OK, until it was taken off me.
I'd really like to get back to that Target account. -
Give Tony a call in the morning. He can get you back here.

Thanks.
I just spoke with Larry and he is going to pass it along to Tony. -
Thanks, that's good to know.
This is also a good thing to know.
I did finally get a decent Mac-30 load, with 3 offers. I took the longest one, delivering near KC on Monday morning from NC. Hopefully the Edwardsville planners don't pull another round robin like last time and hold up my home time.HousTank Thanks this. -
Doing a 10 at a rest area on I-55N a couple hours south of Memphis. Was gonna stay at a Loves in Canton but as soon as I backed in and shut off my truck all I could hear in my sleeper was the resonating throbbing of reefers and rumbling exhaust from the straight pipes of a couple of O/O beaters. Had to get out of there.
Rolled up to Orange TX from Houston to pick up this preloaded trailer of bulk paper. Took the shipper an almost new trailer and got stuck with an old beat up POS 5-series. As expected the tandems gave me fits both moving them at the shipper and when I scaled it to get it balanced. Plus I have a live unload at final in Ft Wayne IN so I'm stuck with this thing for a few days. Hope my next load starts with a D&H so I can get a better one. Been really getting spoiled with all the good trailers I've had the past couple weeks.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Hotel here in Inver Grove Heights. They took the truck for test ride and thought something was wrong so they are going to tweak it tomorrow. Found the problem with the passenger door. It does not shut right on the top and the inner seal does not go all the way down the frame. They are closed on Sunday but they also want another person to take it for a ride when they are finished. The hotel here that we are sent to is darn nice. It is the AmericInn. In the front parking lot is Applebee's. About 1/2 block up the road is a place called B-52's. Service manager told me a excellent club, especially on the weekend. Live band and just many women. Our rate is $62. Also indoor pool and hot tub. I know what I am doing tomorrow and Sunday.
Now the bad for today. Talked to IEL and was told by another person that as far as spec'ing a truck, choice of color and fridge. Told her that I am not going to go with another lease in a stripped down company truck. She then said that right now they are not sure what ordering come the end of the year. She then said why not go to the dealer and purchase it. Like my credit right now is 800 and I have 20%. She then said save money and get what I want done to the truck later and pay for it. Then not have it on the payment. That makes sense. There is a 2014 sitting here at the terminal and it is not that bad, and it was spec'd. So much up in the air right now. Wanted swivel captains seats, and that is a no, per safety for some reason.HousTank Thanks this. -
Jackpot Nv.....jackpot also enough to pay for my dinner and coffee....and keep my 20$ while entertaining me for an hour....cool
inkeper Thanks this. -
Yep es they told me the same deal.....pick color and new truck has a fridge....reserved a blue KW t680 in Phoenix see it in a week or so...although she does say trucks are spec for fuel efficiency..... -
I've had good experiences at the Inver Grove shop.
They take good care of my truck while I'm on home time there.
With only one exception.
A transmission output shaft oil leak in my ProStar, and I ended up telling them what needed to be replaced!
But that was after it had been in 2 other terminal shops and an International dealer for the exact same problem. No one even thought to check the seal race for a scratch, even with a recurring problem, so all of them just changed the seal.
I was very upset that last time, and I YELLED at them that it wasn't just the seal - it had to be a scratch in the race! They replaced the output housing and the problem was finally fixed.
Just wondering, why would you need a seat that swivels?HousTank Thanks this.
