Yesterday the a/c compressor - alternator belt broke on 2006 Freightliner Columbia (Detroit 60). Apparently the a/c compressor pulley seized, breaking the belt. Would this mean that the bearing is seized or that the compressor needs changed out? (No experience in this subject). Thanks for any input.

If the compressor locked up, have it checked closely, you may need to have the entire system flushed. You always need to replace the reciever/dryer with a new compressor. It's not only a good idea, it'll void the warranty on the compressor if you don't.
