You have had a closed mind and almost visible dislike to anyone that does this. My question is why bother. I have posted this same information many times.

My truck is over 6 years old and still works.

Is it smarter to run with your own authority so that you can get your own back haul rather than relying on the RV company for it?

Maybe you should buy him a calculator so he can do the math. Profit is profit. It doesn't get much simpler than that.

It’s been a year since the last post and the points from everyone still hold true. This is a sessional job at best with low pay for the amount of capital you have to invest to “buy this job”. It will not change.

I saw an ad hauling rv's and called them up. I have an 05 diesel 3/4 ton crew cab. Did the math and unless you get a back haul it seems not worth it. I read through this whole thread and found people making money. How is what I'm curious about. Anybody care to explain? Other than saying people do. There's always exceptions. What interests me is how. The only guess I can come up with is some people have found a back haul most of the time.

I see from your other post that you are OTR. I would just stick with that. The “how much can you make” issue in RV delivery has been all but beaten to death. If your close to retirement and are looking to fill some dead time this might work. At the end of the day you are still “buying a job” in the RV delivery field. As far as getting all of the miles you want - its iffy at best. The seasonality of the job is one of the benefitting factors. No winter driving is a plus, but you do hustle for the April to Aug season.

I'm happy over the road. But I keep an open mind of options out there. Thanks for the reply
