    Alexandria LA.
That is where my whole family is from. Nice town.

I finally found a house to buy. It is in Lakeland. Only a 2 bedroom, but it is not like we have people come visit and we don't have kids. So not really an issue. It is still a 1500 sq foot house, so lots of living space. And Lakeland is in a really good central location for trucking. May have to start shopping around again, once I have assets in place.
Current job is not bad in some ways. Making about 50k a year, unloading the furniture, so it is helping me to get in better shape. I had gotten where it was tiring to stand for long or crank landing gear lol, Now I have to unload trailers loaded with furniture and appliances from floor to ceiling. The issue is days per week. I like my time off and really don't like having to work 6 full days every week, and 7 days every other week.
They say they are working to change that now, get us back to just the 6 days, and scheduling a day off every couple weeks.
Sounds like they are looking to hire a few drivers at my DC soon also.
They are trying hard to get some in Cullman, Thompson and Mebane. But not having allot of luck. Pay is the same there, but less to unload. They make most of their pay on miles. Not bad for a local job, but there are better around for people with allot of experience.

We had a great time! It was good to catch up with Lauren and Bill, Meet the new Drivers Martin and Bill, made new friends Tracy and Steve who started with F2F a few months ago and who live only a few miles away from us.

I also got to put faces to the voices on the phone Ryan, Lili and Tate.

Got to come home tonight and I stopped by my daughters dance class and aggravated them for a while then told the wife I was coming home. Now we never lock the house up except for going to bed. I get home and no keys to get in the house have to sit on porch til they get home to let me in. Life is going to be heck for her.

I actually took the screens out of the windows and try to get in that way. I just replaced all the locks on them a while ago after a bunch of them after they snapped off and that was no luck. I just laughed because there was nothing I could do.

I noticed a shift in rates the last two weeks and not for the better :biggrin_2558: still seeing decent rates after lunch but noticing loads posted very cheap until around 1500.

NJ is not bad at all. Everyone is so friendly and the roads that you travel are so well maintained and truck friendly. Don't sweat it you will not even know that you have been there.:biggrin_25523: What am I talking about I hate that place. Glad it is you and not me.
